PBR Allstar 0 Posted April 23, 2014 Okay, I'm trying to just put an outline around this image I drew, but I'm struggling with the typical inline/outline/expand features. I just want to do say a .05 perimeter outline with a .05 offset. When I try to do it all I can manage to do it outline every detail of the image, not just the perimeter. Can someone walk me through this one? Thanks,Ford. Matilda.SBD

waovrmyhd 2 Posted April 23, 2014 Copy the item. Split the copy. combine the copy. expand the copy. place the copy over the original item.

PBR Allstar 0 Posted April 23, 2014 overmyhead, tried that real quick, thought I had it then realized I was working in wire outline. Here is where I'm stuck now, see attatched file. Matilda.SBD
pshawny 410 Posted April 23, 2014 Copy and paste the design, so that you have two side by side. Leave one alone and do this to the other one. Arrange >>> Split Objects Keep the black silhouette and delete the gray parts Manipulate >>> Expand/Outline/Inline check outline, uncheck everything else .05 offset .05 thickness Arrange >>> Weld >>> Total Weld Align >>> Center Vertically / Center Horizontally <<< with both copies selected Matilda.SBD
