gcextreme 475 Posted January 26, 2014 Ok i downloaded a font, and when i try to outline it, for some reason it will not outline some letters, mostly the "E" letter.... The word is LEVEL and it outlines the L's and V's, but will not outline the dam E's....what the heck.
bikemike 711 Posted January 26, 2014 Convert the text to curves?
gcextreme 475 Posted January 26, 2014 tried that....still does it...it doesnt like the E's...
bikemike 711 Posted January 26, 2014 Change the kerning. Spread it out a LOT and see if it still does it. Try the E's alone and try that. If the letters are to close it may not like it. Just a guess.

Whats "kerning" Tired the E alone, and different sizes...no work. Its a modified text, i wrote it out, and then vectorized it, and i pulled the center line of the E out to make it the same length as the top and bottom bard... its called concielian bold.. gcextreme 475 Posted January 26, 2014 Yeah i just tried cutting it...all came out great except for the E....i cleaned it up alot..and it cut alot nicer and smoother. what i did was copy and past the good E, and then used it as a background against the other one, made it larger and skewed it out.. Seems to cut alot nicer now...

bikemike 711 Posted January 26, 2014 There was a few "artifacts" in that file after it was traced. That is what I got rid of in the second file.
Jay2703 704 Posted January 26, 2014 After converting the E to curves, use Node Edit. There are a bunch of duplicate nodes on the tips of the "E". http://screencast.com/t/cadyT5tk
