mycraftytoys 0 Posted March 24, 2008 I hope someone can lead me in the right direction. I have been doing just embroidery and now am doing vinyl too and what to know which software would be better to invest in? I am hoping to get some insight as to which is better. This forum is awesome, I have learned so much from it. Thanks in advance for all you help. Lisa
dgreenh 9 Posted March 24, 2008 I'm not sure either is better, it depends on what you want to learn and what you already know. I use CorelDraw 99% of the time but I also have Adobe Illustrator that comes in handy on some projects. I also use Inkscape and Photoshop quite often. It is always nice to have all the tools that you can get because you never know what the graphics world will throw at you.
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted March 24, 2008 before you spend a lot of money, download inkscape. It might do what you want, and it's free. I have Corel and Adobe AI and I haven't used either since I got Inkscape. There are also a bunch of good open-source programs out there that are basically clones of Corel and AI,also free. www.inkscape.org
Larryc39 0 Posted July 15, 2008 The corel suite comes with equivalents for AI and Photoshop. Gimp is a good free photoshop.
