Coastal Decals 0 Posted April 3, 2013 After the last update, my cutter started cutting rough. So I changed the blade... it got worse. I'm a new to the cutter, but have been using this one for about 3 months. No matter if I change speed or pressure it will cut straight through my vinyl or it will cut and peel the vinyl up. I'm so lost. Please help! Thanks
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 3, 2013 way too much blade - take the blade holder out and cut by hand until it just cuts thru the vinyl and makes a mark on the backing paper - then put it back in the machine and adjust pressure
Coastal Decals 0 Posted April 3, 2013 I'm not even half a credit card width though... I'll back it out some more.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 3, 2013 1/2 a credit card is about 10 times too much blade!
mb20music 760 Posted April 3, 2013 I'm not even half a credit card width though... I'll back it out some more. This is what is suggested by USCutter however, they have it wrong. You want the blade just barely sticking out, should barely even be able to feel it if you run your finger over it.
Coastal Decals 0 Posted April 5, 2013 I fixed it, turns out my swing arm that holds the blade broke. Luckily I ordered a spare one. I put it on there and then I cut and bent a metal ruler so that is gives it support against the arm and the screw. Will attach pictures if any body wants to see/ judge my Martha Stewart abilities...
