Burrells 0 Posted March 8, 2013 I am using a USB cable on my MH plotter at this time but when doing long cuts it always comes back to the beginning to finish and messes everything up. If I switch to a USB to serial cable would it take care of this issue? I was reading on another thread that its causes by using the USB cable but I don't have a serial port so that's why the question about USB to serial.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted March 8, 2013 could be a lot of things...could be memory, static, not having your cutter grounded,. your file, and yes also USB connection. A keyspan adapter is the way to go. http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/57/1/why-did-my-cutter-just-stop-in-the-middle-of-my-cut
MadHatterGraphix 1,258 Posted March 8, 2013 The memory upgrade show its not for the MK version. I bet is the USB .
Jay2703 704 Posted March 8, 2013 Do you have a serial port on your computer or can you add one? You may be able to add a serial card cheaper than buying a Keyspan adapter.

Burrells 0 Posted March 9, 2013 After purchasing the USB to Serial I couldnt get the plotter to work at all. I then went and purchased a new USB cable and replaced the one from USCUTTER and now the issue of messing up long projects is done.
