plbrooks 13 Posted November 12, 2012 I was given some files that have a ".RAR" file extension on them - everything I've looked at says that these are zipped files that need to be extracted before they can be used. The extraction programs I've looked at all want to charge me a ridiculous fee to use them or they want to add all kinds of stuff onto my tool bars and make their browsers the main ones I use... is there a good FREE, no frills, no add all kinds of extra crap to the computer program out there that I can get to open these files? They're cool designs for rhinestone templates and I really want to use them, but I don't want a bunch of extra "stuff" along with them... Thanks!

buckeyenewb 2 Posted November 15, 2012 just one word of causion, if you do not know the publisher of your file make sure to run it through your virus scan, RAR files are favorit of those who want to pass along virus or Trojans.
