jgeck90 7 Posted September 18, 2012 I have someone asking for decals and he sent me .eps files. As far as i know, i cant import these and cut them without vectorizing them, can i? What file type should i ask for? The guy who sent them to me is a graphic designer and said they are the original vector files but they are .eps Any help would be appreciated. Jeff. Dr12volt1338 116 Posted September 18, 2012 .eps is a vector file you should be able to import and cut no problem.........
Sue2 920 Posted September 18, 2012 eps is usually vector. You should be able to import unless someone not experienced created it. An eps file can also contain a raster image...sometimes people will do this thinking they have saved to Vector. If you are using SignBlazer be aware that it only imports older eps files. It cannot open the newer ones. Sue2

Jay2703 704 Posted September 18, 2012 .eps files are vector files Not always, they can contain raster images too like Sue said.
Sue2 920 Posted September 18, 2012 .eps files are vector files Not all eps files are vectors....I have been given "eps" files that were only raster files placed in AI and then saved as an eps...looks good until you try to work with it. Sue2
