kainaycc 0 Posted September 12, 2012 I bought a MH871 last year and tried to hook it up though the USB port and never could get it to work. I ended up using the COM port and it worked great. I have recently purchased a new computer and once again, the USB doesn't work and my new computer doesn't have another way to connect it. Could the USB port have been bad when I purchased it? Should I try ordering a new I/O board?
Dr12volt1338 116 Posted September 12, 2012 Those machines are VERY temperamental on a USB connection... What you will want to do it get yourself a Keyspan adapter which will convert the USB output from your computer into a usuable serial connection.
