cutting precision and offset - help

Recommended Posts

Need help with my creation pcut ct1200 plotter.

First i startet calibarting the cutter to cut more preciously. then i worked fine with all the small models like iphone etc. then i changed the offset from 0,000, to 0,065 for getting more sharp corners. but then i have created larger cutting models for macbooks and now the problem is that it is not cutting the same size all times if i for example cut 3 macbook skins it is not the same size? what is the problem then?

Do i have to calibrate the cutting plotter again, if yes do i then miss all my old cutting models? Problem is that i have had rent a macbook air and a macbook pro 15" so i cant make them again. or can the variation become of the different offsets or if i turn aronud the plotter from 0 degree to 90 degree?

Hope somebody can help me.

thanks

The blade offset number just tells the cutter where the tip

of the blade actually contacts the vinyl.

You should not have to change your files.

Okay, thank you so much.

Have another question then. can the calibrations setting have change by it self? And what about turning the model in signcut or change the plotter degree can i cause the problem?
