Names 0 Posted June 21, 2011 I am using scrap Oracle 651 for some acid etch work on glasses, This works fine unless the glass has too much curvature. Is there something else I should use that would handle this application better? I wanted to avoid Sand blast resist because I may have issues with its thickness.. Thanks.... Rodger 527 Posted June 21, 2011 I have used Oracal 651 for all my blasting work , some on mugs that had dips & humps side by side all around the mug . It was very warm & i had no problem at all . If you are working in AC etc , you might want to try applying the 651 where it is warm/hot . Acid etching must require a tighter seal ?
arty-rc 719 Posted June 21, 2011 Just a thought. When I had my car windows tinted, the installer used a heat gun to get the tint to match the curve of the window. Grab a heat gun or hair drier and try this out.
