ratfink 0 Posted March 13, 2011 well i come up with a design (if you dont know the customer its best to show them a layout before doing it,or atleast see a pic of their lettered car from before so you know what they are expecting), then when the car is here i figure out the amount of vinyl needed.. then thats my base price,then just add the amount of time to that(your shop rate)..although projects like this may take more time then you think the first time you do them..you need to know the going rate for the car your doing..dont want to out price yourself..cars like this are fun ! everything is flat!! lol ...it uses a fair amount of vinyl.. was about 6 yards of orange(24") flat black 30"x 10yards,silver hologram about 4yards(24"),3 yards purlpe(24")for number outline, and a few other small peices..and being its flat i used a cheaper vinyl ,wont conform over big rivits but i cut them in afterwards anyway being there is a few layers of vinyl with hologram.
