Dbannon 3 Posted January 25, 2011 I currently have a Roland PNC1100 cutter, and been trying to figure out VinylMaster Pro (works with the cutter). I've seen posts where ppl are cutting directly from Corel to a newer Roland. Will it cut to the older model? I'm looking at getting Corel x4 mainly for printing, but if it'll work with the cutter, that would be a huge bonus.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted January 25, 2011 are you sure they are cutting DIRECTLY to the Roland? As Roland and Graphtecs vinyl cutters come with a version of Flexi that is made for the Roland and Graphtec cutters, For Roland it is called CutStudio, For Graphtec is is called Cutting Master2/Craft Robo and the Corel and Illustrator have plug ins for those cutting softwares. So you are actually exporting from Corel to the Roland cutting software. http://www.beacongraphics.com/software/cut-studio.html
Dbannon 3 Posted January 25, 2011 I'm not sure what others are using or how they have their cutters hooked up. My PNC1100 is so old that it has a floppy disc that is for windows 3. So I don't think there's any chance of that working. lol
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted January 25, 2011 Can't you just save your Corel file in your documents folder, then import into Vinyl Master?
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted January 25, 2011 My latest Flexistarter 8.6 even has the drivers for your Roland cutter.
