Anyone have any idea of cheap or free order and customer database software?

Recommended Posts

So at my 9-5 we use a thing called Mail Order Manager (Mom for short)...

I'd like to get something like this for my vinyl thing...

Anyone know of any that are cheap/free?

I'd like to be able to put in their:

Name

Email

Phone Number

Address

Also be able to search by those, along with order number or a product name/number...

Another thing is I'd like to be able to make orders on it, and make it generate a order or quote number, that way if I look up a person, it will pull up all their orders and all that.

Even would like it to be able to make a printable and emailable invoice..

And note how an order was paid if it was an order..

Anyone have any ideas?

Have you looked at Microsoft Access. They should have templates for something like that.

Can you send me a screen shot of the screen where you input orders?

Not sure if you actually need to have Microsoft office to use their templates or not (they may do a check when you download) but they have access runtime you can download and is free. It allows you run the access applications...

here's a couple more for time and billing

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/CT010375245.aspx

you can get the access runtime here

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=57a350cd-5250-4df6-bfd1-6ced700a6715&displaylang=en

Also, these are for 2010, you may want to 'down grade' to an earlier version like 2003 or 2007

The one I posted was Office 2003 version.

2003 is a better version imho but i'm lazy and took what popped up!

There is still a possibility m$ will block the template downloads without a full version installed

would be interesting to hear if it works out or not... (all my system have access installed so no way to test it from here)

Hey Chris:  are you talking about Pap3!?  I've got several forum members that are running my software and are very happy with it.

If a link was broken I apologize, I'll check into it.

Just want to note that I am happy with the Pap3 software already! Added quite a few parts in the system, a few customers and orders/quotes!

Highly recommended as this is very user friendly!
