remus 5 Posted November 11, 2010 Can i use just the name of a company, for example Toyota Parking Only signs? Without having to worry about the copyright cops.....
screenprintr 319 Posted November 12, 2010 If you're doing it for Toyota, doesn't the GM have the right to give you permission?
deth502 39 Posted November 12, 2010 i would think just the word, without any special fonts to make it look like the trademarked symbol, would not be a problem. but im not a layer. fwiw, i didnt even stay at a holiday in last night
Rodger 527 Posted November 12, 2010 Probably talking about the generic signs that have almost everything in front of the " ____ parking only " Most likely no problem even if using the copyrighted font/design unless doing it in large quanities & exposure like e-bay etc ,,, but still a roll of the dice IMO . If using regular font & not the copyrighted design , no problem .
screenprintr 319 Posted November 13, 2010 Why not just add the name of the Toyota dealer. Like, New York Toyota Parking Only! or John Doe's Toyota Parking Only.
remus 5 Posted November 17, 2010 Thanks for the info....This is just a generic sign, i am not copying the font or using any logos.....This is not for a dealership or anything, it is just for anyone who drives a make of vehicle....
