Skuller57 0 Posted October 15, 2010 I have a CT630.... and have had it for way more than a year...it almost never finishes a cut... and no... it's not static. I've tried it with serial, serial adapter, usb and a different computer and software... As close as I can tell... it has to do with the speed. If I run a job at 80, no problems (except for the quality of cut). If I slow down the speed to 30, it stalls out (waiting), or doesn't finish all cuts, or just zips across the vinyl. AND it's a consistent problem, and can be replicated. Anyone else have this problem? Is this related to memory? The file size is a whopping 37.5kb Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Skuller57 0 Posted October 17, 2010 I'm SURE I'm not the only person to experience this problem.... any suggestions before I fire this fkg thing in the trash and buy another brand? I believe my problems are related to memory/buffer issues. Much of the signwork I've done (and I've done LOTS with a roland) has had to be done one line at a time; hardly time/cost efficient. Skuller57 0 Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks! Nope. It's been used on no less than 3 desktops (serial and USB). If I pull the vinyl out and put the pen in, and plot an IDENTICAL image, once at a speed of 80 (everything works fine), and then at a speed of 30 (it'll only plot 1/2 the image with lines running through the image at oblique angles), I get drastically different results. I get similar results with identical Large v.s. Small images. And the file is only 37kb, with streamlined nodes. The reason I use a pen for this test is because that's what was suggested by support to reduce static. I happen to have an ionizer running within 5 ft of the cutter. I don't believe static is an issue because of the consistency of the errors. I've tried this with SBE and WinPCSign with similar results as well. Most of my jobs are small, BUT when I try a larger cut, the vinyl is usually wasted... Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
