newbie with a sb question

for the life of me i can not figure out what im doin wrong here and was hopeing someone could help now what im trying to do here is overlap the helmet onto the football to make it look as one but for some reason im still getting the football lines through the helmet now they both where seperate images and imported them both ofcourse and the both are eps images if this helps ;D

I think what you are looking for is to make the 2 into

Go arrange, weld, total weld.

That should do what you are trying to do

thanks for the help its really appreciated not long after i posted this i figured it out as you see in my picture i have the helmet selected what i had to do and found out completely by accident was put my pointer on the line of the selected image and simply drag it away but it only work if i put the pointer on the line.. simple enough i guess but im a newbie and as for the manual its been a big help learning this i have all 243 pages printed off inside a binder for quick reference lol came in handy when i needed to know how to do the football lettering but thanks again and heres a pic of the finished logo
