crash5050 0 Posted December 29, 2007 I just made my 1st attempt to cut a multi colored project. I was successful in getting the two layers cut with the registration marks. I then taped the bottom layer to the glass tabletop, and applied a mixture of water, soap and alchocol. Using the registration marks, I was able to lay the second layer perfectly on the 1st one. All was good, until I tried to remove the backing from the assembled product. The backing had became waterlogged and I was unable to pull it off. Is there any words of advice out there about this? BannerJohn 1,324 Posted December 29, 2007 let it dry completely before you try to remove the backing. When I do wet vinyl on vinyl, I usually try and use a fine mist,as littlle as possible, and have a rag handy, wiping off every time I squeegie as fast as I can so it on't get under the paper. Of course the best thing is to wait until you are actually applying to the sign or whatever and do it one layer at a time. Anyway,if you take your time,.it can be done. I do it all the time.
