My first sign job.

Recommended Posts

I did my first sign job. 2 signs both look same. 1 is 2x6 other is 2x5. I drilled and riveted them to back of his utility trailers.

I had no idea what to charge. The sign metal is .40 aluminum painted gloss black on black and the vinyl oracal 5700 reflective. For a noob, installing my first large cut that had to go on dry because of the reflective product was pretty tough.

I bought the sign in a 4x10 sheet and paid $30 for sheering.

anyway... I charged $300 for both installed. What would you have charged and why?

like most peoples first job, it was for a friend and I didn't want to over charge.

comments and criticisms welcome

Jason

Looks nice.  I do 2x4, one color on corroplast for $60, so considering the more expensive vinyl, aluminum substrate and installation, $300 sounds about right.

$300 sounds about fair.

Main thing is the customer was ok with the price. And it sounds like you made a nice little profit for yourself!

Thanks!

He now has one on the back of two of his service trailers and just ask for another one to hang on his fence. Woo Hoo!
