Jerry Bonham 1 Posted December 24, 2007 Maybe you just needed a new blade. A 60 degree blade is normally only for heavier media. Jerry from SignBlazer.
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted December 24, 2007 I would tend to agree with Jerry on that. I've cut everything you can think of,text as big as 28 inches and as small as .25 inch and all with a 45 degree blade.
Jerry Bonham 1 Posted December 28, 2007 It does not work that way. How it works is offset. Most 60 degree blades have an offset of 0.75. For small letters the smaller the offset the better for small letters. For example you can buy a special blade for small letters with an offset of 0.15mm. These are readily available for PCuts and i think now Roland equivalent blades also have blades with a 0.15mm offset. So the rule is the smaller the offset the smaller the letters can be cut. Big offsets such as 0.75mm are for thick media. Jerry from SignBlazer.
