nav255 0 Posted July 24, 2010 Can I create thicker lines on the delicate font I am using with Flexistarter? Thanks for any help!!
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted July 24, 2010 you would have better luck doing your designing in www.inkscape.org which is free design software export as an .eps and import into Flexistarter.. Flexistarter is pretty basic design software, but great cutting software.
nav255 0 Posted July 24, 2010 Thank you so much for your quick reply! I tried to use inkscape, I saved it as an eps file but when I tried to import to flexi, it said it was not cuttable. What am I missing?? Thank you!
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted July 24, 2010 I have no idea what you did... Sounds like it is not vectorized... It will say that if it is a raster image.
Guest Posted July 30, 2010 The effect that you are trying to add/adjust is called a stroke. You need to increase the size of the stroke in order to achieve the desired effect. You can do this in either program, but Inkscape is the superior software when it comes to design. You will need to convert your text to curves/outlines in order to add a stroke because you cannot add effects when the text is still in font form. Hope this helps.
