MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted May 20, 2010 use inkscape.org, Signblazer is not good for vectoring. inkscape is FREE, plenty of videos and tutorials in the inkscape thread
jayhicks 0 Posted May 20, 2010 Ok, so granted Im new and still learning, but I got Inkscape, and bitmap traced I saved as expoted as PNG, and also saved as EPS but SB cant open the eps image What am I doing wrong? ANyone care to help please ?
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted May 20, 2010 are you deleting the bitmap and then saving the other as an .eps? If the .eps has any of the bitmap still left in it, it will not import into SB.

mars 45 Posted May 21, 2010 I took a look at your trace (after deleting the huge teardrop shaped element so I could find your trace) - you are on the right track - keep trying. The shapes of the blooms would be easier to just hand trace - look at the tutorials on the two links and you will see some examples of drawing around shapes in the bitmap to make the vector shapes match without bunching up. Meanwhile I did a trace of the original - I know it's not perfect, but maybe you can use it if you are in a hurry to make the graphics for the cornhole boards - don't give up on yours - try making the bloom shapes by hand and edit the nodes on the rest to smooth the letters and shapes - you will wind up with something you can be proud to say you did yourself.
