Scotty 0 Posted April 10, 2010 Today i received my copam CP-2500. I am using windows XP and flexi 8.1 It will do a test cut fine. but when i try and send something to to from flexi it just makes crazy lines. I have tried the copam driver and the DGI OM-60 driver. MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted April 10, 2010 don't know whether this will help, but have you downloaded the latest Flexi driver pack? http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=13&pcid=4&nav=0,
Scotty 0 Posted April 10, 2010 i just tried those drivers and i have the same problem. thanks for the suggestion tho
Scotty 0 Posted April 10, 2010 i have also tried both the lpt and usb adapters.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted April 10, 2010 well you can download Signblazer, it is free and get it running download is at the top Of the Signblazer thread in dark blue lettering, then you can tell if it's the cutter or Software.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted April 10, 2010 have you got a different computer to try your cutter on? I was reading your previous posts and you had trouble with the Refine also, and sent it back for the Copam, change computers and see if anything changes.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 10, 2010 never had my copam do that - time for another support ticket You say you used a usb adapter - does this mean using the usb cable directly or a usb to serial adapter. I always used the usb cord with mine when i had it
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted April 10, 2010 Dakota, he has tried it with Flexi and with Signblazer, it does the same thing with both softwares. He had a Refine and had trouble with it, sent it back and got this Copam, now other trouble,
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 10, 2010 2 bad cutters in a row - I am looking for a common problem - if it is with a usb cable direct that is what I used with flexi and signblazer with no problem.
Scotty 0 Posted April 10, 2010 just the usb cable itself. as of right now i have no other computer. my roland sx-12 and my friends mh series cuts great on my computer.
MZ SKEETER 4,709 Posted April 10, 2010 I mentioned trying it on a different computer, next would be cables.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 10, 2010 with the om-60 drivers I would think it would work great - that is why I would submit another ticket to have usc run thru the checklist
Scotty 0 Posted April 10, 2010 ill give uscutter support a call on monday. hopefully i can mess with some things and figure something out. thanks to everyone who has posted so far.
Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 10, 2010 I don't see where you replied - did you try signblazer?

Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted April 10, 2010 if the cuts were identical than it has to be in the way the cutter is processing the commands = I don't remember is there a way to restore the copam to the factory defaults?
Scotty 0 Posted April 11, 2010 the cuts are the same. if i change the size of what i am cutting then the size of the crazy lines changes.
Scotty 0 Posted May 10, 2010 its been a long week of being on the phone with sai and uscutter. we got the cutter to cut in SB but it still wont cut in flexi. in flexi it will make a straight line with a curve at the end. in flexi when i hit test cut, it cuts perfect. also using flexi i can use my other cutter(roland sx-12) with no problems. to make a long story short us cutter is blaming flexi(sai) and sai is blaming uscutter. for those who have not read my other thread this is the second cutter from uscutter i have had nothing but problems with. i feel as if i have a $750 paper weight. im hoping that this problem can be fixed. i do not feel like spending another $100 to ship this cutter back. /Rant... Dakotagrafx 7,297 Posted May 10, 2010 I got nothing - my copam was rock solid no matter what I did or what program I used.
YadirellT 0 Posted June 4, 2010 Hi Scotty, what did you guys do to get the cutter to cut in SignBlazer? This might be an indication of what in Flexi might be causing this.
