How to enable Laser on LP24

I just got my LP24 today and need help on how to enable the laser.

it should come on when you turn the cutter on. if it doesn't, your laser is dead or has a bad connection somewhere.

is this something that USCUtter will help me figure out via phone to do some basic trouble shooting?

I am able to do test cuts no problem.

just wondering.. how long do they respond? I kinda want to get it working properly soon
