chepegarcia 1 Posted February 18, 2010 I have a mh 871 and it is not cutting the vinyl. It is just following the cut lines, but it is actually just marking the vinyl, when i try to clean the vinyl, it is not cutted, just marked. It is also cutting lines between letters. I have adjusted the blade, the carriage and nothing. Does anyone has any suggestions?
MaderDesign 3 Posted February 18, 2010 Is the blade installed properly? Sharp end down? Blade depth sounds like it isn't out far enough.

hockeygirl 30 Posted February 18, 2010 Have you checked the "Force" setting on the cutter? I make that mistake all the time, sometimes my cutter turns on to 0g Force...
Guest HowardI Posted February 19, 2010 Make sure the blade is in the up position when the machine is on. If it is not you will want to create a support ticket at http://support.uscutter.com for assistance with this. chepegarcia 1 Posted February 20, 2010 Actually the carriage is not moving up and down. It is in position in the reel, it is inside the reel and moving back and forward, but not too much up and down. Also someone asked about the blade. It is in position, about 2mm out down, and the force in the machine is been reset to the original, and I also tried in different speeds and different forces, but it continues just moving all around the vinyl marking it but not cutting enough. What called my attention is that the blade is not moving up and down between letters. I haven't grounded the machine yet. Do you think this has something to do with it? Make sure the thumb screw is not hitting the side of the holder and hitting the machine which wont allow it to drop?
Guest HowardI Posted May 6, 2010 Since there is no new activity on this thread I am assuming that you have gone through the ticket process and your machine is now operating properly?
