What are reasons that signcut would crash when importing an EPS file?

I found a thread and it mentioned to get the latest update; I did and it still crashes with some files.

Also, how do you make repeat cuts across the vinyl? (opposed to down)

maybe post some of your files to look at,  Have you cut the files before and now they crash?  or never have cut them?  Maybe they still have raster in them and are not totally vectorized...

I have a similar question along the same line... I have made a few AI files (saved as AI 8.0) which I had created a vectored box around the design as the weeding frame doesn't complete the cut if I'm only cutting 1 copy.

I had successfully imported and cut all those designs on the original build of SC-Pro, but I have since updated to build 1.05 and now 1.07... SC-Pro doesn't open those files anymore without crashing. But if I go back in AI and remove the box I had previous added around the design and resave it, it opens and cut without any problems.

Any ideas?

If you ai file still contains a BITMAP file inside it cant be openend by SC!

Check for bitmap files.

They have never been able to successfully open in SignCut.

They look clean to me. Try these and see if it still crashes.

I saved them in a lower version of AI. Worth a try.

The Analog graphic still crashes SignCut, the 32 graphic works now.

Thanks for the help, ill try saving them in older formats if im having issues.

My version of signcut is 1.04 for windows xp. I'm just now updating to 1.07 hopefully this works.

After installing the update SignCut is running WAY better.

My other question: how do you make it repeat across the vinyl instead of lengthwise ??
