how to charge for signage

I would like to know how much to charge for signage such as... a banner with two  or three lines in it lets say 2x6, or 3x6 and a 24"x 12 or so magnetic sign with let's say two lines of verbage? Please help. I'm all ready to make the plunge but don't know what to charge.

I charge $10 a running foot for 24 inch wide banners,$12 a running foot for 36 inch,and $14 a running foot for 48 inch.

I don't do magnetic signs locally but from other posts,I'd say a set of 2, 12x18 is usually about $80

If the customer thinks the price is too high,you can always negotiate.

my actual COST for making a banner is about $2.50 a running foot not including labor so I can go down a bit if its an easy one to do. I canb do a 2x6 with 3 lines of text in about an hour,including design,cutting,and everything.

Thanks, John. This will help me get started. I have decided to do two 12"x 24" magnetic signs with 3 lines for $35 for now. Hope i'm not too low.

local sign supply place here gets $2 a foot for 24 inch 30mil magnetic sheeting. $35 will show you a nice profit.
