mabscotthandyman 1,410 Posted September 29, 2009 The step motor is exactly that it cuts in steps the digital servo can cut closer curves and corners. unless you plan on doing a lot of intricate cutting the step is fine. the servo cutter is much quieter but there are a lot of price difference. i like pinch roller better my self, there have been samples of very small work on here using step cutters the copam seems to do very well at a affordable price. hope this helps some Dan Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
