speed rate

I read the tutorial on set-up. It suggest a speed of 60. I have a mh 871 , the highest speed rate seems to be 48. I want to cut small letters 1/2" or so maybe smaller, should I use a slower speed for small type, also what is the smallest type that can be cut. Thanks, Mark

speed depends on size of cut and also sharpness of the blade. i have cut letters to just under 1/2" at about 12 or 16 for my speed
