tractor trailer rivets

I need some advice on installing vinyl over the rivets. My problem is applying the vinyl and squeegeeing across the flat surface and then I come to the rivets and I am getting wrinkles in my vinyl. How can I apply it with out the wrinkles.

heat the rivet area and use a tennis ball to roll over the rivet

My problem is not conforming the around the rivets, it is applying up to and around with out wrinkles.

hing it up and pull it tight when applying and of course do it wet. what vinyl you using?

I am using a9. I am using the hing method. Tried wet, but had a big problem trying wet. Simply could not get the fluid out from around the rivets.
