MattS 0 Posted October 10, 2007 Is there a vinyl out there that someone can print on threw their little home inkjet printer?
BannerJohn 1,324 Posted October 10, 2007 I don't know of any. The ink will smear. I have been successful with a laser printer but some vinyls will melt in a laser printer, others not.
dgreenh 9 Posted October 23, 2007 Has anybody tried this? http://www.papilio.com/hps/home.php?cat=255 Looks interesting, they offer both an over laminate and a liquid laminate to make it last longer outdoors. They have laser vinyl as well. Might be worth ordering a sample if printed vinyl is something you want to try.
stormy 5 Posted October 24, 2007 Looks like it might be worth trying but you are still limited to an 8.5" by 11" decal.
go10go4 0 Posted October 24, 2007 Actually that company sells 11 x 17 vinyl sheets as well, which will work in some inkjets. Of course, if you really wanted to go very large, you could go with the very spendy large format vinyl printers, which use very wide widths.
