Has anyone heard of a JSI cutter?

I have an opportunity to buy another cutter at a good price.

It is a JSI and it was purchased from a company called JSI signs.

Anyone ever heard of it?

Looks like a Copam...

I called them and they said the P24 series is a discontinued series.

They also said that they are a workhorse, but that the company is under contract to sell only Roland and Graphtec.

I am buying this guys shop for $500.  It includes 20 rolls of vinyl, a vinyl stand, computer, software, graphic cds, and cutter.

How can I go wrong?

I feel like I hit the lottery!!!!

:);D:)

ohhhhh, man, if it was a printer, I'd be there.

I posted in another section that I am opening a shop and someone Rob28 told me that I really needed a second cutter as a backup, and I agreed.

Next thing I know, actually next day, this deal fell into my lap.

I'm taking it as a sign that I need to do this.

I got the entire sign shop for $500.  I picked it up Friday night.

It included the cutter, computer, vinyl, vinyl stand, and a complete set of graphics cds.

All the vinyl is Oracal, and there is probably $150-$200 worth there in several different colors.

No app tape, no tools.

Computer is about 8 years old, still running Windows ME, with WinPCSign.

I had to spend three hours cleaning everything up, it was covered with about a 1/4 inch of dust.

The inside of the computer was littered with mouse poopies (yuck).

Once everything was clean, I powered it up and cut a few test items with the program.

EWWWW, don't like WinPCSign.

So, going to install SBE and Inkscape on the computer and try again.

Called JSI and they are sending me a manual for free and have told me to use the PCut driver for this cutter.

Can't wait to get home tonight and try it out!!!!
