MrNate 0 Posted May 23, 2009 I was putting a name on a boat yesterday and had to run home and grab something before finishing. I had the surface prepped, but still gave it another once-over of my home-made app fluid / cleaner and just got the vinyl off the backing and half-way down when the owner walks up and tells me that he put a fresh coat of wax in it while I was away. Needless to say, the vinyl pulled right back off and I had to recut and re-apply. It's a really good thing they guy is a good friend of mine, because now I get to harass him about that every now and then.
bayshorecreations 30 Posted May 23, 2009 I hope you added a "stupidity" tax to the bill for having to do the job 2x?

MrNate 0 Posted May 26, 2009 Yep, only charged him for the materials on this one. The extra cut was free, since he's giving me tons of word-of-mouth advertising around the harbor.
cutme 5 Posted May 26, 2009 maybe you should tell him to mention to other boat owners not to wax their boats for you! bb
