sarconastic 29 Posted March 30, 2009 Mine had a distinctly musky smell when I opened the box. It got better after a little bit. I do notice it a little bit when I first fire it up. CRD 9 Posted June 17, 2009 Might be the smell for the hughe amount of hot glue they use to stick the machine together. Otherwise it is the solering paste from the main board that gives the smell as soon as the fan starts to rotate. Mine smells too. At some days more then others.
