sarconastic 29 Posted March 27, 2009 I got my first real paying job today. Where I work during the day, we provide services to the Handicapped. We started implementing a recycling program to do our part as a 'Green' company. I was getting ready to distribute the recycling bins to some of our houses, and I got the sticker pack out that came with the bins. My boss says, "but most of our clients can't read!, we need pictures". I spoke up and said " I might know a guy who...." you get the rest. The Nice part was she let me design them during working hours, I get to put them on during working hours. All I had to do on my own time was cut, weed and tape. Would $2 a piece be too much ya think, given the time she gave me to make them? Keep in mind if I had got the decals somewhere else, I would still have to put them on. I am the "Maintenance Specialist". They average in size from 3.5 x 8 to 3.5 x 10 inches. There are 20 total, 5 designs. Sound reasonable?
FBRsportmod68 109 Posted March 27, 2009 looks good...........dont know how they do things in Iowa, but maybe for the soda cans put "aluminum cans" and do away with the "pop bottles" as those would fall under "glass"
sarconastic 29 Posted March 27, 2009 We have a 5 cent refund on all soda cans and bottles so they go to the same place, glass or plastic. But honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw a glass soda bottle around here. Beer bottles yeah, but they can't drink at the company facilities. Also our company actually runs the redemption centers in our area so we deal with them directly. Our recycling system here in Iowa is rather goofy as to what and how they recycle it. It's not as strict as it is in some cities. Also we are doing our own pickups at each location and delivering it to the drop off points. They don;t have a distribution system in place here yet. lowone 3 Posted March 27, 2009 I think $2 is very reasonable, especially considering the fact you get to design and install on the clock They look good.
