biggin69 2 Posted March 18, 2009 I just recieved my 24" LP. Hooked it all up and ran some test cuts. The "cutter head" has a circuit board on top that rubs the top cover and causes it to bind up and make crazy noises. If I run it with the cover flipped up, I have no issues? Is this normal? I hate to spend $400 on something and it not work like it is supposed to.
kenimes 42 Posted March 18, 2009 Can it be bent down a bit, so it no longer touches the top lid while moving left or right?
biggin69 2 Posted March 18, 2009 Tried that. i am afraid I will break the circuit board off.
CRD 9 Posted March 19, 2009 Hi, If you lift the cover carefully you will see the touchpanel and display pcb in the cover. It has a double grey flatcable going to the rigth hand side of the machine. Isnt this flatcable touching the head when it moves to the most right hand side of the cutter? The pcb on top of the carriage mechanism has two screws. If you take out these two screws there should be two yellow colored plastic washers underneath the PCB. Could it be the plastic insulation washers are not placed correctly? Refit them and try it dry without mains switched on with cover open and cover closed. I hope this helps to find the answer to your problems. Regards, Paco let us know the result anyway.
