Paradox 0 Posted February 27, 2009 So far in SignBlazer Elements when I import an eps file sometimes it does not cut exactly as it appears. It may have overlaps where none should exist and different cuts are off a bit. When the eps is viewed in inkscape or Illustrator it appears fine. Since I only have signblazer to cut would using something like Flexi help with this problem, I'm assuming something is off with the import interpreter in SignBlazer? Guest fivestar Posted February 27, 2009 Post the file and I'll take a look at it for you in Flexi.
Paradox 0 Posted February 27, 2009 It's not just one file, many are like this. If I originate the work in SB it seems to cut fine, but imported files seem to not be so accurate.
Guest fivestar Posted February 27, 2009 You may have multiple layers on the files you import and that could be causing the problems. That's why I wanted you to post one.
Paradox 0 Posted February 27, 2009 Here is one example I played around with but will not cut right, some of the gaps are not as they appear when cut. Double_Flames_Warp.EPS Double_Flames_Warp.EPS
Paradox 0 Posted February 27, 2009 Here is a interesting example, it cuts differently if rotated across the vinyl. I forgot I did a weld in SBE to join the two pieces. classic_blk_20.eps classic_blk_20.eps
firemalt 10 Posted February 27, 2009 Couldn't open the first file, said the format wasn't supported, and the second is saved as an eps, but I don't think the jpg was ever vectorized... just looks like a jpg.
Paradox 0 Posted February 28, 2009 Strange they work here, although Illustrator will save to several eps standards.
