splendidsigns 0 Posted February 15, 2009 Hiya, Quick question for you all..... My cutter is leaving roller lines on either side of the vinyl while its cutting. Is this because I have them down to hard? Will they smooth out once applied onto something ? gems
JoeDirt 5 Posted February 15, 2009 I am going to say yes and yes but you can try adjusting them so the marks are lighter.

acehole 1 Posted February 15, 2009 I didnt know the roller pressure was adjustable I just try keeping what Im cutting between the rollers so there isnt any marks I know its not always possible but thats how I try to avoid this prob
Guest fivestar Posted February 15, 2009 Some models you can adjust the pressure some you cannot. Those marks will come off the vinyl after it is put onto the substrate.
juniorranger 0 Posted February 16, 2009 I have scraps that are in the bin that have been there quite some time and they have roller marks on them, i dont know what the deal is, my FDC brand vinyl doesnt seem to do that but i have noticed my Oracal does, I have some Oracal Premium Metallics and it is real bad on those, and thats the ones still in the bin with marks on it, It's like the Oracal is a softer vinyl for some reason, Thats why i stick to FDC brand, I have heard people hating on it but i love it.. john! 1 Posted February 16, 2009 I've had this problem for some time. Only on the middle roller though which I've swapped out the complete assembly twice. It doesn't cause a issue that I've seen though once weeded out.
