Roller Marks

Recommended Posts

Hiya,

Quick question for you all.....

My cutter is leaving roller lines on either side of the vinyl while its cutting. Is this because I have them down to hard? Will they smooth out once applied onto something ?

Some models you can adjust the pressure some you cannot.  Those marks will come off the vinyl after it is put onto the substrate.

I have scraps that are in the bin that have been there quite some time and they have roller marks on them, i dont know what the deal is, my FDC brand vinyl doesnt seem to do that but i have noticed my Oracal does, I have some Oracal Premium Metallics and it is real bad on those, and thats the ones still in the bin with marks on it, It's like the Oracal is a softer vinyl for some reason, Thats why i stick to FDC brand, I have heard people hating on it but i love it..

I've had this problem for some time. Only on the middle roller though which I've swapped out the complete assembly twice. It doesn't cause a issue that I've seen though once weeded out.
