wasatchcars 0 Posted January 10, 2009 I am going to do some work on one of those Well Cargo Trailers with all those rivets on the side? I was thinking heat gun to form the vinyl over them all I could think of. Does anyone have a trick for them?
wasatchcars 0 Posted January 10, 2009 What would I do with a Tennis Ball? Roll it over the the vinyl thats over the rivets? Should I also heat it?
KageDesign 3 Posted January 10, 2009 Heating it would probably help form the vinyl easier, but it also going to make it harder to get the adhesive to stick with it being warmed up that much, making it longer to do the job because your going to be pushing the vinyl back down until its cool enough to stick. They make a rivet squeegee, not sure where to get one, but Ive seen them. Or you could try the tennis ball, in theory it should beable to get around the rivets radius being the ball is round. buddy 7 Posted January 10, 2009 Wasat - Try the RollePro..saw the Utube video on how it's done and it makes the work (from the looks of it) effortless. Good Luck Dazzel

Guest fivestar Posted January 10, 2009 Use the tennis ball and a heat gun, it works excellent. Beardown taught me that trick a while back and it does works great. Just heat the vinyl and press the ball over the rivet.
