I created this black box and then typed text and added it to this black box and went to cut it but it will not come through like the picture it will not cut right it is like I have two different pieces instead of one piece of black and weed out the text.  Can someone help me with this I have tried to blend and everything but I cannot get it to cut like the picture.  I am using corel x4

It is still showing up as two colors one being gray now if it was cut you would not know what it is saying.

Here is one way to do this in Corel:

Select Object

Arrange - Ungroup

Change Outline of Rectangle to None

Select All Objects

Arrange - Shaping - Simplify

Select White object and Delete

Select remaining 2 objects and Group

Done

-Mike

Edit: Assumes you are wanting to cut only the black area with the white areas punched out

Designed when I have two colors and the cuts are correct ( check view... wireframe ) I just cut both colors ( in cutter menu) at the same time. I only take the time to weld or change it if I plan to revisit the file more times in the future

Here's another way of doing it.

Select Object......Ungroup

Select Rectangle and Black text outline and weld

Select White Text then welded rectangle and combine.

Here's what you end up with.

The way I got it to work was to make my box or graphic etc.  Make text contour it break apart contour place the black part weld everything put my text in there and then trim it and pull the text out from what you used to trim and presto perfecto!!!  Thank you for all your help here.
