haumana 1,220 Posted December 20, 2008 Does anyone know how to access the symbols that are packaged with fonts in SBE? I know that there are some that are accessible toward the bottom of the the SBE window, but it doesn't show what I need. I'm trying to recreate this tiny logo and I have the right font, I just can't get access to the symbol. Here's the font if anyone wants to give it a shot: http://midpacsolutions.com/cutter/SIMSUN.zip
Jay2703 704 Posted December 20, 2008 If it is there is should be visible in the panel along the bottom of the screen. I don't see that symbol there either.

haumana 1,220 Posted December 20, 2008 Those are the same symbols I see on the bottom too. If you open up word, select the SimSum font, then go to insert>symbol, scroll a bit down, all kinds of kanji characters are selectable symbols. It's in the subset: CJK Unified Ideographs, but it is listed. ARGH! It boggles my mind
Jay2703 704 Posted December 20, 2008 It's a long way around but I can get them to Sign Blazer: Open MS Word and insert your symbols. Print your document to a .pdf file. (if you don't have Adobe Pro you can use CutePDF for free: http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/Writer.asp#download ) Open your .pdf with Inkscape Save as a .eps file. Jay2703 704 Posted December 22, 2008 There must be a thousand symbols there. How do you find the one you want and how do you know their meaning? It must be a hard language to learn, especially to write longhand.
mobby 1 Posted December 25, 2008 Signblazer does not read 2 byte fonts, as are required to display asian charactors
