  1. I hate giving up , but i am beat  :) . I went thru this before & can't get my brain to remember what I am doing wrong or what setting is wrong . It seems like i can't identify which usb port the Copam is connected to . I tried them all in the cutter settings & # 3 acts like it is sending the info to the cutter , but the cutter doesn't do anything . The cutter is working ( cuts a test ) & everything was working before the pc got reset to original settings ( cant think of the word , but as it came from the store ) . I switched the cutter cable into the usb port the keyboard was using & nothing ( keyboard works in either usb port ) . I've reread & done the " how to check & set communication settings for usb " but i am still not getting it . I use the front usb ports on the pc .

thanks for any help , Rodger

  2. Fivestar ; RMyersExcavation is me , looks ALOT different in all lower case  ;D

Firemalt ; Thanks ! I do good with adjusting things , but don't know why . I have not cut enough to have found out the wrong way I'm guessing . I put the blade out enough to where my rough hands just feel the tip & everything works great . What happens if the blade is out too far ( breaks ? ) ?

    Regards , Rodger Myers

  3. Guilty as charged  :) , RMyersExcavation is what i typed in when E-Bay stopped letting me use my E-Mail address as a user name ,  the SEX part jumps out when no upper case is used . I have not sold 1 decal . I have a copam at my farm in WV & 1 in MD that i use to make decals for myself . Trucks , cars , equipment  & 4-sale signs/descriptions etc for Mobile Homes i sell .

  4. I started with the 45 -- finally ordered a pack of 60's from USCutter -- I will NEVER go back to 45's!!!

The 60's cut everything smoother and easier. It will take a few tests to get the blade set properly, but once it is there WOW what a difference!

    As the old commercials said

                    TRY IT

                         YOU'LL LIKE IT

    just my .02

Hi , I got a bunch of 60's on the way . Is there any setting differences other than the down pressure ? i got a Copam 2500 . Thanks , Rodger :)

  5. yes ive sent several messages  and finally got ahold of ken imes but as usual he talks so fast as i have said i am wrting it all down but as i asked several times repeat it again where i couldnt write it down fast enough and also as he is clicking away so fast where i can not write it down fast enough i get aggrevated and say yes just to get off the phone from cussing and blowing my top so HEERE IT IS KEN TALK SLOW SO AS PEOPLE CAN WRITE IT DOWN AS YOU R TELLING THEM AS I HAVE SAID SO MANY TIMES AND MY GIRL FRIEND SAID SO MANY TIMES WE ARE WRITING IT DOWN BUT WE BOTH GET SO DAMN PISSED INSTEAD OF CUSSIING WE JUST GET OFF THE DAMN PHONE

MY QUESTION TO YOU KEN IF YOU WILL CALL ME AGAIN AND TALK SLWOER THAT WAY I CAN WRITE IT DOWN IN STEPS HOW TO TAKE A DAMN JPG OR EPS  AND TRANSFER IT TO THE CUTTER  THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH NUMBER IS 336-293-4123 THANK YOU AND SPEAK SLOWER NOT LIKE A DAMN AUCTIONER TRIING TO WRITE EVERY THIGN DOWN

That's what your prob is? Taking an image to the cutter??? Post your questions on the board here! I know that has been asked several times on here and has been answered as well.

It's no wonder Ken get's so backed up.

I agree . It's like i go buy a tractor trailer  & expect the Company selling the truck to teach me how to drive it , back it into hard places & all the other things experience gains a person , & then I get pissy because i buy something i don't anything about . I was in the same boat as far as not knowing much , but i realize USCutter & every other supplier sells products , not training courses . I don't have alot of computer skill/knowledge & it makes some things harder , but i know buying a vinyl cutter from a supplier isn't coming with training . There is training courses that this guy should take & probally me also , but i'll humbly work thru my lack of knowledge . I bet you & you galfriend wasn't the only person wanting to let some steam off ;D

  6. My experience :

Before I found out about USCutter , I was VERY close to buying from a supplier ( SW ) that was selling me a "name brand" cutter at over 4X the price i spent with USCutter ( 2 friends of mine bought the expensive name brand cutters & have not done any better or had any better communications BTW )  . Even during the last stages of sales , that Co didn't have a live person answering the phone & it took just as long for them to get back with me as it does USCutter ( & that is after i bought from USCutter . My experience is that salespeople are motivated alot more before the sale than after ) .  Hmmm 4 times the cost & no difference in customer service . The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence . I bought 2 copam pc-2500 because of how inexpensive & I have not sold 1 decal yet . I have lettered all my trucks , equipment , storage lot signs etc & think the cutters have paid for themselves already . MHO

    regards , Rodger

  7. Let us all hope that in this case, the new entity is not THIS kind:

"An entity is something that has a distinct, separate existence, though it need not be a material existence. In particular, abstractions and legal fictions are usually regarded as entities. In general, there is also no presumption that an entity is animate."

If you don't get my sense of humor, just ignore this.

I get your sense of humor in that post & many other posts . I enjoy your humor ( thumb's up icon ) . I understand Ken's message more now ( i thought he was talking about Boobies

forgive my corny sense of humor  . While reading BannerJohn's funny , en-Titty popped into my head ( Beavis & Butthead saying " He said en-Titty !!!  heh heh .. heh heh " going off in my head now )

  9. I went to the bigger Atlantic city show last fall ( different than NBM ) & it was amazing . MANY items only a BIG sign shop could even think about ( a $225,000 inkjet machine for 1 ) . I just went to the Baltimore NBM show & i liked it as much or more than the bigger show . ALOT of outsourcing contacts , apparel suppliers etc . The Baltimore show had alot more embroidery people there than the Atlantic City show . It is cheaper to get shirts , jackets etc made by outsourceing for my business than making them myself . EASY to become a "dealer" with most vendors there & not many have minimum orders . I'll attend any show close from now on . There is free tickets for NBM shows on the website ( even the day before if you know the proper code to enter ) otherwise $10 a head .

  10. I also just purchased a cutter and it came with SignBlazer with everyone knowing that it doesn't activate  :o

I downloaded the trial version online ( my cutters came with SignCut ) I have used the trial version off & on for 6 months or more . It never cuts lines thru the work , just a couple extra clicks to open . I think that is going to be the version USCutter buyers can use without a time limit . I think i read that in an E-Bay auction of USCutter's . They offer choice of SignBlazer/Flexi-Starter or SignCut on some cutters . It was also said the trial version still does more than Flexi Starter . SignBlazer changing ownership , payroll etc from Jerry's passing etc will take some time . As good as SignBlazer is , I'm sure the others at SignBlazer will keep it going if they possibly can . New owners would be crazy not to get/keep everybody who worked for SignBlazer IMHO . The morales has to be bad down under !

  11. When was the last time there was any response from SignBlazer personel ? On their forum I have learned ownership has been changed ... does that mean somebody bought the co or Jerry's heirs folded up & sold it ? Anybody know if they are trying to get back up to speed after Jerry's passing or things are stagnant because of legal issues ?

    respectfully , Rodger
