    Jerry Bonham

To Jerry , a life done very well It's tough to loose somebody as nice , kind & giving as Jerry . I will be missing him & as BannerJohn said , more than i know right now . BannerJohn has more in common with Jerry than the first letter in his name . BannerJohn also has the same nice , kind & giving personality with ALOT of knowledge . All the other guys at SignBlazer with Ken & BannerJohn plus the others on this board have the same great personality , so i won't loose as much as some . This forum is great as there has only been a few newbies that are jerks . Everybody else has the good friend attitude . i say thanks & cheers to Jerry & also thanks for the help everybody gives here . Rodger

    Free Heat Transfer Paper

instructions said multiple packs requests won't be processed ...
  7. I don't know if this is the same , but when the vinyl slid out the back of my Copam , i slowed the speed down . I think it was moving too fast for the pinch rollers to keep traction ( seemed it only did it with certain vinyl ) .

Who use's the heat press's in here?

Hi , Thanks for the replies . I asked the decal Co what the decals were made of & they didn't answer directly , so i don't know what type they are . I'll try pressing the shirt before transferring . I was not using new shirts ... is that a no-no ? I didn't have any new shirts & figured i'd screw up the used shirts before messing up new shirts learning what to do & alas ... what not to do i did test the clamping pressure as the decal co said ( not able to pull a dollar bill out when clamped ) & that's correct . I'll try preheating the shirts & also the bottom plate .When i preheat the botom plate , do i leave the rubber pad in ? The decal co said the rubber pad was ok to leave in when pressing . I enjoy making sign letting , but i would rather buy the decals already made & plan on having my Co logo made into heat transfer decals . Is anyone interested in giving me a price for that ? Thanks again, Rodger

Who use's the heat press's in here?

Hi All , i bought a heat press before USCutter started selling them ( wish i had waited ) . I am just getting started using it . It looks JUST like the multi-heat press USCutter sells . I ordered some pre-made decals . set the press at 380 F & did 10 seconds like Boo-Z Wearhouse told me . When i first got the decals a couple months ago , i did 1 T-shirt & the edges didnt stick & it was the holidays ( decal co wasn't open ) , so i quit so not to waste T-shirts & decals . I tried again today & the only thing that came out good was to a wash cloth given away by Shell gas staions . i tried longer times ( better ) & hotter temp ( worse ) . Does age effect the transfer decals ? I peeled the transfer tape right away as the decal co told me . Anybody got any ideas what i am doing wrong ? Does anybody here sell pre-made decals ? Thanks , Rodger

  12. Hi All , i really like the weedline control in SignCut . I have the trial version of SignBlazer also . the weeding is the only complaint i have with SignBlazer . Is there a weedline control ? thanks , Rodger
  13. Hi All , at the Atlantic City sign show , the heat trasfer material for cutters was made out to be indestructable , "last longer than the fabric" . Is there inkjet type decals being made or only silk screened ? ( seems the silk screening does not last ) since i don't know from experience , i only know what i have been told . i would trust board members alot more ... any advice ? thanks , Rodger :snow:

    TSHIRT CUTTING

Hi , hope this isnt too far off topic , i was impressed at the T-shirt vinyl at the Atlantic City sign show & got a heat press that does Hats , T-shirts , mugs & plates from e-bay . Seems there are inkjet quality decals pre-made available CHEAP . i will get some T-shirt vinyl to do my own logos most likely ( might be cheaper to have the big guys custom make them for me ) . Now the actual question , What type decals should i get ? i know the silkscreen stuff doesnt last well , is there an easy way to determine what decals are made of ? the suppliers shy away from a direct answer so-far . thanks , Rodger Myers :snow:

    heat transfer decals

Hi , i'm looking to get a supplier for heat transfer decals . After going to the Atlantic City sign show & seeing the picture quality printers , looking at the decals available on e-bay , i think buying the multicolor deacls is better than making anything else but specific requests . Sellers on e-bay tell me they buy from a wholesaler , but alas.... they wont share that info . i'd like to get a supply of the generic t-shirt decals . Thanks , Rodger

    Can vinyl be clearcoated?

i used the .99 stuff from Wally World on my dumptrucks about 6 months ago , everything is just like when applied . On my pick-up , i didnt clearcoat & the same metal viynl is faded BAD . i have been told that you can clear coat the vinyl after cutting & before transfer tape if you let the clear dry COMPLETELY . :snow:

    Heat Press

Hi , has anybody taken a look at the 4-1multi heat press's on e-bay ( $400 or less delivered ) ? the hat & t-shirt part part is very interesting , i don't think the plate & mug part would ever be used . the price seems alot cheaper than buying a t-shirt & a hat press . any adive ? thanks , Rodger

    HELP TRANSFER TAPE TO SIGN

Think about "hinging" the decal from the top & cutting small sections before removing the backing paper . works on small stuff when windy also . Rodger

that's why i bought from USCutter also ... well the price savings helped alot also :you rock:. then it even got better as Ken is Tony the Tiger GREEEAAATTT , as the others especially BannerJohn .
  24. i have had that problem with metallic vinyl . i have found out what fonts NOT to use with that harder vinyl & how small NOT to make it . regards , Rodger Myers
