Suggestions for Printing on Greaseproof paper

Thanks. So would a normal Ink printer do the trick? It is a one off job that we need to do,; however, the catch is that it is going into a bakery shop so I guess there might be issues with the ink in case it starts to come off. Any suggestions please? -
Reverse cut vinyl applied from inside of the car

This font is somewhere in betweenSerif and straight bold type font Its Geometric Slab 703 MT Bold or Geoslab 703 MT Bold The tissue box is a cardboard box which was kept there so I can lean on the seat and install the decal. At all the other times, it rests on the rear seat. I do make signs as well, but here in Australia when people say signs, it is understood as banners or something printed which I don't do. I have a vinyl cutter at the moment but I am hoping to upgrade the machine to a printer plotter combo

....and to take the vinyl out wherever it overlaps the heater line of the windscreen as well. . It did take time but very happy wiuth the end result

Help required to put up tinted film on UV Stabilised Polycarbonate
kainth.c.s posted a topic in Vinyl
Hello everyone We are doing a massive polycarbonate structure for a Jewish museum which involves big 12 mm Polycarbonate sheets (UV Supplied) to be coated with translucent tint like films in different colours. The problem is after we put the film on it starts to bubble up doesn't matter how long and how hard we squeegee it for. And yes they are the air pockets and not the dirt particles. We were told that it is because of the Hydrogen gas which escapes the surface of the sheets after the application and we need to keep the sheets unmasked (taking the plastic covering off) for 1 to 2 days to allow the gases to escape before putting the film on. Is there anyone who has done the tint film application on polycarbonate plastic who can shed some light on some other precautions to be taken including some special preparations, some special solvents to be used for cleaning, some special ways of application so as to minimise the bubbling of the vinyl once it is on the sheet please? All inputs are welcome -

They were notified of this and still they agreed to build it that way. Some people, especially artists and intellectuals are next to impossible to convince -

Hi We peeled the polycarbonate sheets off and left them for a day or so. Next day we applied the vinyl wet.As Carrie said, we had to prick a couple of bubbles but apart from that it went fine. Please have a look at the photos. It is the famous SUKKAH, the Hut shaped structure built up by Israeli people during their festival -

HI everyone I have beden contacted by someone who needs to put some decals on her to be born baby's room. She needs some rose flowers to be cout into a couple of colors and stuck directly on to the plasterboard wall. Will the normal vinyl stick better to the plasterwall? Also, she is pretending to keep it for at least 4-5 years. My next question is what sort of damage it can do to the plaster when the vinyl is peeled off either for repainting or for any other reason. I am planning to use the intermediate quality calendered vinyl. She is somehow sceptical about getting it printed and stuck to the wall Any inputs please

Help required to put up tinted film on UV Stabilised Polycarbonate
kainth.c.s replied to kainth.c.s's topic in Vinyl
The pricking would not help me here as the polycarbonate we use is in 25 sheets each 2.4 m long x 1.2 m high, so we will be looking at a lot of bubbles through them. We tried squeeging it to the limit, then leaving it again and squeeging it again but the small bubbles still keep popping up and so are the water pockets. We were told by someone that we need to allow Polycarbonate to degas for a couple of days (Minimum 96 hours) so all the gases in it can escape. Obviously, with translucent films, we can't use too much soap and it settles down way too quickly. Anybody in the business of Window Tinting, please help? -

I got to do the projects both ways once. Have a look at the pics. The ones with the Brown Background are the simple vinyl backgrounds with vinyl decals on them and so are the ones saying L & Ps (Learner and Probationary licence plates), however, the one with the rear window of a van was done by cutting the inside of yellow and white vinyl so red and blue letters fit in. There is a little difference in the cut and letter size but it is negligible. Had to go this way as the party didn't want to see any overlapping
-
However, there is another option in case you need to do the multiple layers. Wherein the layers are overlapping, you can make the voids or the cutouts in the layers slightly larger than the shapes you need to put on. That way you need a fair bit of attention when overlapping, but the plus point is the overlapping marks will not be visible. (Look at the same picture I quoted earlier, you can see the black vinyl pressed into the star shape and wherein red and blue ends with black overlapping. Again, this method, not recommended as it takes far more time than simply overlapping
