i use Vector Magic then tweek the results ( border etc ) in inkscape for me VM is great I love it ill be paying for the full version ( rather than monthly payments ) soon

When i type something to be cut the letters are all individual so on script type fonts there is overlap bettween letters and as such cut marks is there a way to join then together to clean up the cutting ? if I use select it selects each letter 1 at a time I cant select the nodes on two letters together ......... I use scal (regular) and very little inkscape any help anyone ? Cheers David C

I cant find a way of getting the nodes on two items to display at the same time example I write a A and a B AB in script and they overlap I want them to be one item but I cant join the nodes if its only letting me alter either the A or the B not both together .......... make sence ? David C

ive only done one order over 200 items and i stated what colours i had they wanted different so I charged them the cost of getting the vinyl up front ( thankfully less than the total) they were happy to do that i confirmed once it arrive that that was indeed the colour they wanted got the ok and cut the decals it was agreed that if they changed their mind after the cut no refund would be available communication seems key to avoid being left high and dry costs wise that being said I just do decals for the place i work and mates mostly apart from that one big order though ill not lie more orders would be great lol David

i managed to sell 2 on ETSY before they removed the posts due to "hate" design I asked for a list of designs that are banned and have not ( nor do I expect ) heard anything back but its 2 sales and every sale is a possible new customer... David C

used both and to be honest if its just for glass 651 is just fine and dandy yes ones "better" but ive got a 651 decal that is somewhat under the wiper blade track and its 2 years old and still looks like it did on day one David

im going to try and talk work into buying one ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and please dont say get an X thats more expensive as thats not really an option .............. any real downsides to a LP2 in terms of operation ? ill be using SCAL as thats what I used on my Cameo Cheers David C

yeah id love a "good" but just dont have the readies noise isnt an issue as its just me the wife and too many cats and i tend to cut in the morning once she has left for work I guess instead of increasing colour selection ill they monies from decal sales at my mates comic shop into a piggy bank in the hopes of getting a Roland or GraphTec one day..... thanks for the reply David C

Fixing it is probably not going to work we took it apart and while all the gears seem ok its not pressing down on the vinyl to cut and even though the motors all seem ok its making a horrible grinding noise and doing random cuts I had a Silhouette Cameo so ill probably be getting another as its all I can afford atm just still trying to see if the new version still works with SCAL3 ( which I use) David C ADDED>>>>>> will try and see if I can talk work into buying a Laser Point 2 (24") Tuesday ............

Does anyone have any knowledge of these machines ? im looking at their site and apparently it can cut balsa which im interested in any help would be great cheers David c
