I have a whole bunch ( 6or8 ) 360 controllers custom painted with custom buttons ect. The one controllers come apart way to easy, the back sides of the grips pry off and then they have 2 t8 hex screws under them and one in the middle under the sticker like the older ones. After looking at my plain controller and how smooth and simple it was I figured I would go with wrap over paint so I can change it if I wanted to. The hitman one is awesome.

Every time they come around here I can never get a ticket in time and they sell out.

Just finished up a small snowmobile wrap for a friend. It was originally blue, and she wanted something more girly. Material used was avery matte purple metallic and 3m 1080 carbon fiber. The hand guards where done with knife less tape. The seat is now all black and A-arms are white. Also cut a few stars to go with it with oracal 651 matte black and white. (Yes I know around the gas cap is messed up, they had a major gas spill and it reacted with the wrap..I tried just about everything to get it to stay down and only relief cuts helped)

It is 3m controltac, I order from metro restyling for all my wrap vinyls.

Some more sled parts done today.

What cream do you use? The lion head looks so even, I sometimes get a problem of it not being perfectly even.

These are my first two glasses I have ever done. Vinyl was cut with 34"sc and then used some armour etch from local crafts store. It was kinda fun,

Our next door neighbors filled the drainage ditch that leads to our retention pond to level their yard to build a giant deck, shed, and a sweet fire pit/beach? They used a lot of sand to level.... we live in upstate NY in the woods, So they made their own beach front because now everything floods when we get a lot of rain or sow melt.

An old trick I use when masking off cars for paint is take the tape and stick it to my pants or shirt a couple times and it will make the glue not as tacky so you can easily peel it after the fact. Could you possibly do that with a low tack transfer paper and still have it be just sticky enough to lift the static off the backing paper but not to sticky to keep it on during applications?
-
I would think if they make a static cling vinyl they would have a special app tape for that material, just like they have a special kinds for 631. I would also like to know where you got the static cling vinyl?

I use the thermometer to measure the temperature of the wrap while im doing it. I always post heat the areas that I do to at least 180 degrees. It "resets" the memory of the vinyl and makes sure it stays in its current position.

Is there anything with a bigger hopper than is smaller in size. I already have a jam packed garage and basement. So no room for a huge blast cabinet and my wallet wont like it either.

I have done motorcycles, four wheelers, cars, trucks, side by sides ect. A heat gun, felt edge squeegees, sharp razor along with plenty of time and patience. Doing complex curves like tanks and fenders can be difficult to a first timer. Just watch some youtube videos on wrap techniques and take your time. Order plenty of material and plan on messing up a few times and having to start over. Worse thing you can do is get upset and give up. Also some tools that are nice but not needed are 3m Primer 94 (adhesive promoter), digital thermometer, knifeless tape, and a helper.

That's why we have a 4 place enclosed trailer with heater installed. Its more of a drive someplace unload the sleds and drink while talking about riding.

I work seasonal labor so all summer I work and all winter I get to play. So having a sled in upstate NY is a must when you have nothing better to do for the winter months.

I am actually going to harbor freight on Friday to see what I can get into. Might grab an air eraser while im poking around for small stuff.

What would be a decent price for this?
JonnnScott posted a topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
My tattoo artist came to me and asked for a price quote for one decal. 3 colors, red, black and white 40" wide 20" tall. It will be cut, weeded and layered ready to install. What do you think a decent price would be for this? Extreme ink.svg -
You got me on that one, as soon as you do find it let me know! I would love to have some of that on hand.

When you click on the "cutter" logo when you're ready to cut the pop up screen has the end action setting at the bottom left.

I havent had any problems with layering big projects yet. And I was thinking around the $120 mark, because I would also be delivering the finish product 45mins one way. -
Ive used matte metallic vinyl plenty of times. Not sure if that's what you are going for. This sled is matte metallic purple from avery.

They owner sent me some more pictures of it after she got the seat and a-arms redone.

It works better than I thought it would. But it was pricey I paid almost 25 dollars for the 10oz bottle. And before I get into the blast cabinet and all that good stuff I want to get a heat press to do some shirts. My garage is already jam packed with all my normal tools, spray guns, compressors and wrap materials and tools.

Did another windshield today, same 3m 1080 carbon fiber.

Jagged Edges / Jitter on straight cuts?
JonnnScott replied to C4S's topic in SC Series Vinyl Cutter Discussions
Could possibly be to much blade sticking out. I saw someone on here say that its like a caster or wheel on a shopping cart. To much blade and it will start to wiggle and cause the jagged lines.
