  1. The error report is in the second pic, right side.. The other windows are what I was using to get the picture saved and stuff. I opened them when I decided to take the screenshots and things.

    cutter cuts crazy

My serial cable male part is the exact size as the female part of my laptop connector. Same exact size.having to use the USB.
  3. My friend uses a peg board mounted on a 1 inch frame under it. And uses the long pegs. Its mounted on the wall and he doesn't have to move anything when picking a roll. I just left mine in their boxes and got them stacked and replace in the boxes when done.

    I need some advice.......

My business name is Custom Creations. I actually make a huge variety of stuff and always did the custom work from jewelry, to painting to wood cutting. So with the vinyl part, we got the website CustomDeKals.com to tie in the name. With the Go-C.... I hear in my head.. Go see. So, hearing that, what do you want them to tell tjemselves? Go and see.. Vinyl designs. Go-C custom graphic designs... Etc. That way your not really making a huge change in how you answer the phone... IMHO

    Clip Art

I'm new to vinyl cutting but have 1000s of clip art I purchased for embroidery digitizing. I am using the same clip art in my SCALP. I just trace the image, ingroup and break up the image, and separate the layers and pick out the best layer. Sometimes I have to tweak the nodes, but mainly just finish up the total decal and cut. I've only down loaded a few SVGs, and treat them as clip art too.

    embroidery digitizing software

I've digitized embroidery for at least 10 years. Brother and Babylock both use Pes format. But there are free programs to convert other formats to Pes. And some inexpensive programs that are great. I personally favor both palette and PED. Brother and Babylock are dang near exact programs and equipment.. I've never seen the format of ai.
  7. djque, when I select the color I want to cut, I get the error.... Sure Cuts A lot 3 pro has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are sorry for the inconvenience. and hte send error report.. Gonna take a pic of my screen to show tabs, etc. Instead of the register marks, guidelines, etc. I would just like for the program to cut the colors.. very aggrivating. I get a notification that a new update is available. after I do the update, SCALP wont start because of a file that is missing.. but, I do love my cutter, and the program is really easy. hate to complain, but hoped it was an easy fix,

    Origin point

I have a setting in my cutter popup box. It gives the option of using the point of origin or WYSIWYG.
  9. Will look up signblazer too.
  10. What are registration marks? I haven't come across that yet. I understand sliding it off the mat. I haven't tried that yet. But it would be nice to just cut by color like the program offers. Will try that, though.

    TYPING ON A PATH

Its not a big arch. But I guess its what I'm used to for company logos and hat designs, and shirts. And I sure couldn't get the result from anything I tried.

    TYPING ON A PATH

I'm new to this. But I wanted to do a simple logo with a low curve arch for the first line for the company name. Then straight across for the phone number. The only arch I have is a half circle. After hours with SCALP and ink(something) I gave up.. I went into my embroidery software, typed the company name, arched it perfectly, print screened, and pasted it into my photo program. I saved the pic, then traced it into SCALP. Best idea I've had. Sounds like a lot, but can do a simple logo in under 5 minutes with that perfect arch. A simple embroidery digitizing program (that does different skewing, of course) could help. I use a higher priced program, but there's some that you can get free, or download a free trial. I'll see if I can post a photo of a decal with an arch.
  13. I don't know if its the cutter or the software causing the problem. On the cut screen, you have tabs for extra settings. You can do multiple copies with rolls or columns and it shows you how it will look on your "cut" piece. It works.. Just not the 'cut by color'.
  14. I am wanting to make some multilayered projects without having to actually having the different colors separated into separate pages. So I have went thru the motions of selecting multicut and cut by color. After clicking which color I want to cut, I select CUT and the program freezes. Come to think of it, it freezes if I look thru a bunch of fonts too. But I really want to be able to make the perfect design, cut by color and not have to move layers to multiple pages. I am using the MK2 and I am new to vinyl cutting, but I digitized embroidery for about 10 years. The software is similar and very easy to learn. Oh, what vinyl is best for wall art? Thanks in advance..
