i have cs6 , inkscape , getting adobe ps 6 and looks like the program skarekrow mentioned

being these are psd they cant be used with corel correct ?

WoW i just imported a vector and added text did some cool stuff to the text put send to cutter and it shows what will be cut and its perfect , everything that ive been trying to learn made so simple in seconds

the vinyl cutter part of the software seems sweet

i downloaded the trial im checking out a video now seems alot of what i see so far ive seen in adobe

what version did you go with ? and can you add text to images or is it a separate file

so being in that in view outline its a red x i assume i have to start it over from new ?

how would i see exactly what like surecut would see other then doing a test cut with a pen , and thanks for putting up with me btw

so i didnt add the text right ? how would you add text to a vector ?

what i did was import the tiger image drag it onto the white box , then i made the text and draged that box into the white box and saved that was before you told me how to do the trace

so im guessing you can not flatten the image like in adobe to flatten the layers , this is wierd lol

wow they look real , both are photoshop ? any certain place to find the mock ups or just basic files off the internet

the tiger is a ai file the text i made in inkscape , here is the orginal Tiger.ai

i clicked that and this is the outcome lsu1-2.eps

im guessing its changed and its resize to drawing

ok this was so easy if i did it right , the only place i had a problem under Document Properties i didnt see fit to page , if this is right i guess my question would be did i do it right by importing into inkscape and adding text , thats where i would want to do my text editing ? lsu1-1.eps

thanks skarekrow thats what im missing i didnt trace it odd enough thought the orginal file was a vector file , i guess me adding text changed it , im going to try what you said right now

Ok tried another one , this one was a vector tiger i took it and added text , for some reason it seemed hard to just turn it into a eps file , a svg was no problem but eps was a pain then when i loaded it into CD it was upside down , i used Inkscape for it , it looks good i think lsu1.svg lsu1.eps

When you sell a layerd decal online do you send 2 seprate layers ? or do you put the layers into 1 decal , ive put on layered decals myself on trucks but didnt know if they could be prelayered for a customer that has to do it himself ?
