  1. I have used Shippo. Goshippo.com. It's only 5 cent more per label with discounted usps rates and you can still ship first class. I use this for some of the regional rate boxes PayPal shipping doesn't support.

You can also look up the PayPal ship now link to print labels through PayPal with discounted rates. I use this the most often as its free minus the cost of labels and ink / toner. You can type the buyers address in and there isn't a monthly fee and you can still ship first class and priority. It's almost like a Blackfoot link as they don't advertise being able to ship to anyone usps when not selling through eBay.

  2. Anyone running Illustrator with  Graphtec and maybe Cutmaster 3 have any issues with upgrading the Mac OS to Yosemite?  My Macbook keeps bugging me to do it but don't really want any hassles that might come with it.

All my hardware and software are all playing well together now.

    It works fine for me,

  3. theresat yes, everything has came out awesome. Print quality is great. I'm very pleased so far.

I tried a few of the profiles from cobra till I found the one I liked the best and it's been smooth sailing since.

We simply print a cropped image of a 6 channel purge test pattern to keep the head fresh every 4-5 days.

All the nozzle checks I have printed have came out great, haven't had to run a head cleaning yet.

  4. note - they used the name camm-1 on all the older plotters from the cm-24 all the way back to at least the pnc-950 (or something like that - so if you look for parts make sure to look for the actual part number.  only listed as a public service announcement for future readers trying to fix their old rolands

    Good to know

  5. haha, wait till you get the call from a Conde Rep asking if you were happy with your order, (before it even ships out).

The man asks if i have a sublimation printer.  I said yup, sure do...

Then he tries to sell me a heat press on the spot...  I then tell him i already have one.  He asks what kind?  I tell him the Hotronix Fusion, and he asks... "What is that?  I have never heard of it".

haha too funny. I can't figure out why, but he hasn't called back in a while.  It sure is easy to keep ordering new items to sublimate though.  I guess thats how i ended up with 3 of every different style of mug coastal sold before i even had my printer or press delivered at the beginning of the year.   ;D

  6. A few days ago i got our newest piece of equipment set up.

I have read many positive reviews and experiences of customers purchasing from Richard and his team at Cobra Ink. There were a few stories of people having issues with their printers, but not many.

I have to say that i am very impressed with Cobra Ink as a whole so far. The videos are very informative and let you follow along step by step. The kit was packaged very well and arrived completely un-damaged with all of the pieces.

Installation of the CIS was straight forward. I also ordered a waste ink tank kit. This was actually the most difficult item to install. The difficulty came from a very tight metal clip that you re use during installation.

All in all i have to say that i am very satisfied with Cobra Ink so far. The print quality has been fantastic. The fact that they provide ICC color profiles and use high quality materials for their kits is what really separates them from others on the market.

I still have half of all 6 bottles of sublimation ink to add to the CIS. Thats about 2 more ounce per color.

Sorry i don't have any photos of any sublimated products yet, all of our initial stock is sold out and we are waiting on more supplies to come in.

Soon i hope to post updates after attempting out first sublimation shirt!

We are probably going to use the Hanes 4820 as they are a reasonable price from Carolina Made and SanMar.

  7. I agree with GO-C wraps.  It would be best to have a decent size SSD for your OS and frequently used apps (photoshop, illustrator, etc.), and have a regular spinning HDD for file storage.

In your first post you mentioned Solid State Drive (SSD) and SSHD.  SSHD is different than a SSD.  A SSHD is a hybrid drive which gives a small performance boost over a plain spinning HDD.  It combines a small amount of flash storage (usually 6-12 gb i think) with a regular spinning HDD.  The SSHD then decides which files you access the most and moves them from the spinning disk to the flash storage.  That is where to the performance boost comes from.  I replaced the standard HDD in a macbook pro with an SSHD and it was a decent improvement.  It definitely was no where near as fast as the retina macbook pro i used to own with all flash storage SSD.

  8. We use Rtape AT65 for clear tape and all our retail customer installed decals. The decals are 651. We also use rtape 4076 RLA when we need paper tape.

I had some Greenstar clear and it worked about the same for application. I did find the edges didn't stay down as well as the Rtape clear.

I recommend the AT65 for a clear tape ordered from USCutter. The Greenstar clear tape I have was a sample roll. I don't know which one it is either. It came in the weeding and install kit USCutter sells.
