  1. When making registration marks in AI choose H or V (horizontal or vertical) segment type 1 or 2 to get multiple marks.  You can also draw a rectangle with a solid fill then go to File > Cutting Master 3 > Registration Marks and choose convert rectangle to keep the marks close to your cut path.

Edit:  Nevermind, I didn't see where you are using a legacy plotter with Cutting Master 2.  It might be different.

  2. http://ebay.com/itm/221009168217?

I bought an Accuteck 70-85 lb scale from this seller and it was one of the best investments I have made. It's paid for itself multiple times in the postage I have saved. The accuracy is within .2 oz of the post offices scale. Much easier and accurate then wrapping a string around a box and using a luggage scale. (which is what i did before)

The only downside was the torn and beat up flat rate envelope the scales box was stuffed in when it was delivered. But for the price it's hard to beat.

It's been great for 2 oz first class packages all the way up to a 68 lb box.

  3. I think your money would be well spent on Adobe's Classroom in a Book for CS5 and watching YouTube tutorials.

Adobe is a very powerful tool and the chapters on the pen tool and pathfinder will teach most of what you need to know for cut vinyl decals

CS6 and my CE6000 work pretty much flawless on our Macs. I am hopeful that it will be the same experience on the windows laptop I will be using next.

Graphtec has been really great about updating the software as well for Macs.

The only pitfall is needing a windows computer to update the cutters firmware should you feel the need to do so.

I believe the same version of cutting master 3 works between CS5 and CS6, and I am not aware of any major changes between the illustrator versions as far as features go so it should work well for you.

  4. I understand and agree with what your saying.

Most forum members have wanted to make a deal when ordering online.

As i said before i am willing to take offers, so anyone reading this that is interested is welcome to send me an offer.

Had i wrote $96 or best offer this discussion could have been avoided.

Instead of posting my best offer i will revise my price to the lowest i am willing to sell for.

Thanks for clarifying your point and no hurt feelings here.

  5. Just for a price check. If I bought the very exact shirts you have here I would be about $116 so there is a bit of savings but the main reason is the Next level and Bella would have to come through a non-regular supplier and they are higher priced just because I do very little with them. If I bought comparable shirts through Sanmar I would only be spending about $60 ($50 right now if I shopped the sale) I guess if someone is buying through Jiffy and can't get any from wholesale then there may be some savings but it's tough to buy just a bunch of shirts and then wait for the right person to walk in and want them. I think you are going to have to heavily discount them or go the big auction site route IMO. You are wanting an average price of $2.91ea. which is pretty high given the circumstances. Sorry.

I am fully aware of what case pricing is for Next Level, Bella Canvas and other "premium" shirt brands.

Maybe you have never had the opportunity of using a higher brand shirt such as Next Level, Bella + Canvas or American Apparel.

Value brand shirts simply don't compare to the premium brands.  I would think  99% of decorators that have ACTUALLY used both brands would say the same.

Most of Sanmar's house brands are ALWAYS on sale if you order often enough.

Even pricing with Sanmars PC150 which is a ring spun shirt is going to push it past $60, that is not even counting the plus sizes.

Needles to say you should not be comparing apples to oranges

I also said that was my asking price.  I never said the price was not negotiable.

  6. We were thinking about getting the laser alignment tool from Stahls as well. I was impressed when it first came out on the dual air fusion, then even more impressed when I saw the portable version. Seems like it would save a good bit of time on alignment as my wife and I always had to make sure every design was centered and straight. I Look forward to your review of the tool when you get it.

  7. I am wondering if there are plans for the table that the heat press is on?

    greenie

haha, There aren't. We spent about 2 weeks looking for a table sturdy enough and big enough to hold the press.

Finally i gave up finding something local and just bought some 2x4's and a small sheet of blonde board at Lowes and threw it together.
