    The machine is about a year old, and a steady worker.  I have never messed with the offset because my corners are nice and sharp, not rounded, but I am game to try anything. Blade is about a month old (which reminds me I have to order more.)  I was thinking I may have the pressure too high as it makes a solid tap sound when the blade comes down....

    The end of a cut it missing the beginning of the cut by just a tiny bit. For instance the center of an O or a lower case e...I have my overcut set to 2mm which is double normal, and I am still having trouble weeding.  Any Ideas?? 30" TC Series Scal3Pro speed 400 pressure 30. Oracal 651

    Unfortunately this one was legit....they gave me the name of the lawfirm who complained.....I wrote the author to see how much licensing would cost...but it's probably priced to keep small businesses out.

    Now heres a strange response :

    The author cant license her own work?:huh:? Trademark issues she should hold the trademark??? No sense at all!

    Competition on there is also worse than ebay. They will browse your listings and report your listing to the trademark holder. And etsy shuts down shops forever after 3 strikes. You have 2 left.

     

    I just did a search and there are hundreds of sellers selling virtually the same decals.

    Sorry guys just venting....Got one of my listings and best sellers pulled from Etsy for Trademark.....What!!! it was 2 words from a movie...not a title, not an image...just 2 words.  I think I will trademark the word "the" or "or" how about "A" that way no one can write a book or talk without paying me licensing fees. :angry:

    PIney Flats?? You are just right up the road from me.

     

    Yep right behind the tri-cities airport.  I'm in JC fairly often. Started out screen printing a few years back but the place I bought all my supplies from in JC moved to FL and I just couldn't compete paying all that shipping...Used to work for a printing company right behind the Brown's Mill Wal-Mart until they sent our jobs to China.

    I am always saying stop texting and drive out loud when driving. So I made a stop texting decal in text speak. Today I get a message in E-bay from a graphics shop in FL saying he is the designer and has a a copy that is dated and time stamped.....bla bla bla.  I know I created the one I am selling. should I take this guy seriously or dismiss him as a competitor trying to push others out.

    Well you guys just gave me a great idea about getting a booth at the local gun show.    

     

    I know 2nd amendment stuff will sell there.

     The Promoter here wants $68 per table I thought about it as I have alot of 2A art.

     

    As for the local Flea market,,, there are 2 guys in there now doing decals. one is a big setup the other is smaller, would I be able to compete?

    1.  Attend some of these a&c shows as a customer.  Ask some of the vendors who the sponsor is and who is in charge.  Go introduce yourself and ask them to put you on the list for next year.

     Thats the problem I don't find out about them until they are over, yet I never see any advertising ahead of time.

     

     

    Look at you local chamber of commerce they know where all the events are. Ever thought of just setting up beside the road?

    Unfortunately our Chamber of commerce website lists concerts weher the promoter wont let you set up or they are busy with FunFest which is a free event so you cant charge.

    I am tired of seeing on the news of a big arts and crafts show, or some other event. All the websites and stuff are so behind and I can never seem to find advertising ahead of time. I know some of you guys are in my area, Where do you all find events to set up at?  Church Hill Block party is a no because everything has to be free, Gun and Boat shows are a no as the table fees would negate profit. Fun Fest is a no because every this is free or controlled by the city....Need more income than E-Bay

    I ran into this with my Nexus 7.  The problem is the headphone jack, it's not wired physically to work with card readers.  It's idiotic but when I searched online that's the answer I found.  You can type in the card information manually instead of scanning and the software will work for you.  

    Ahhh Unfortunately I believe there is a higher fee and some restrictions for entering cards in manually...

    Sorry to hear about this Hatter, I've unfortunately have lost alot of people in my life, and it never gets easier. You will heal and return to some sort of normalcy over time, as long as you remember she is not gone she is just watching over you from a higher place.
